We had a Miscarriage... | My Personal Story of Depression

In this emotional video, I open up about one of the most difficult times in my life - the loss of our baby due to miscarriage.

My wife and I were devastated and we struggled to come to terms with the pain and grief we were experiencing but we knew that we had to find a way to overcome it together.

In this video, I share my journey of navigating through this heartbreaking experience and eventually finding healing and hope.

I talk about the importance of communication, support, and taking time to grieve. Hopefully by sharing our story we can offer comfort and encouragement to others who may be going through a similar loss.

I am so grateful to you. I lost a child recently and have felt very alone. A dumb as this sounds I didn't feel like it was ok to be too emotional about it. Thank you for this video! Going through this now just shows how little anyone is prepared for this. Loosing our little baby has been the hardest thing to take in. I don't think anyone can heal from it but, you can definitely bandage it a bit. At least thats what ive felt so far. I dont feel so alone watching this video. Thanks again!

I am so sorry you and your wife went through this. I love that you say "We get to grieve who we lost, whom we love unconditionally, until the end of time". I have Miscarried twice, It is not easy. I also had a 14 year old son die by suicide in 2014 - He is the reason I subscribed to you and planned a screening of your documentary when it came out. My sister lost her baby when she needed it the most, then yesterday, my younger sister had one, no one believed her when she was pregnant. Then she lost the baby because of it.

Thank you for sharing your story. Unfortunately, though miscarriage is tragically so common, many people still feel it's a taboo topic. I appreciate you encouraging others to accept their grief and allow others the chance to offer comfort in their time of need. My fiance and I hope to have a baby, but he's been on psych meds for so long that we're fearing getting news that we won't be able to conceive... I'll be saving this video, not just to share with friends, but in case I need these comforting words myself one day. Jack is proud of what you're doing, I have no doubt. The commonn view that grief has an experation date or a set course needs to be challenged and to end. Grief is personal and never ending. It may change and evolve but still very real

We also lost our first baby to a miscarriage. We named the baby Josemaria Caeli. We ask for his intercession almost every night before we go to sleep. Thank you for sharing your story. People can be really weird about miscarriages. I think it's just cause they feel like they have to say something, but they don't know what to say, so it comes out silly or hurtful instead of helpful.
