The only problem is that, depression can actually become a part of your personality, and there is no longer an old version of you to be had when you get rid of the depression.

I love how they call it a disease. For me, it’s like my depression can’t be cured. We have what’s called a disorder, and let me tell you, those meds will NOT cure you in 6 weeks.

Does anyone else just regret being born? I feel like anyone else could have gone off and done something great with the opportunities and privileges I was given throughout life, and I'm just sitting here wasting them.

For me it’s like this:
I always feel like I’m at the edge of a cliff.

For most adults, depression happens usually after college. Most of your young life there is always a goal or structure in sight. However once you graduate and get a job, there is nothing left to do other than work, get married, start a family etc. Even if you can afford to live comfortably, your life doesn’t seem like it’s being lived to the fullest. That’s because most of the key moments in life have already been accomplished when we are young.

I think I’m depressed but I’m not sure. Cause when I was a kid I was always energetic and happy and I did whatever I wanted without caring about fitting in or whether or not it being socially acceptable. And I just was sure of stuff and was excited or joyful about stuff. Now I’m 17 I don’t care about anything anymore.. stuff that used to bother me doesn’t and I’m a completely different person. I can’t cry or barely feel mad I’m just bleh all the time. I feel like 2 seconds of mild joy here & there...I was on psychotropic pills like antipsychotics and antidepressants for 2 years so maybe it changed my brain but I think I changed even b4 that.

Has anyone gone through so much state of depression that it has caused you to feel physical pain?
Like in your chest area? Your heart starts tightening up?

I was miserable for years. I related to all these videos and they gave me comfort for a very very long time, I could sit and romantacise my own sadness for hours which turned into days. I can tell you all that one day, it changes. The sun comes out and it changes. Just keep swimming. We are all rooting for you buddy you have to stand up for your self or no one will.

It's the society in which we live that is ill, makes us Ill, and then we blame the individual.

I’m kind’ve convinced that YouTube is increasing my depression. It’s like a mini television on your phone. Before YouTube, I would have similar feelings when I watched tv for too long. So with that in mind I might get off the app and see how it helps.

Once you have gone through it. You never see things in the same positive light. Nothing can solve that.

Depression is like living in a show as a sidecast, not being able to convey your feelings nor understand it... Well, at least for me
