I have lost 95 lbs using mounjaro but then my insurance stopped covering it. My biggest fear is gaining weight. I learned healthy habits while taking the medication and will work hard to maintain those habits.

I picked up 8 lbs in a week, but I am one of those people who lost 2-4 lbs a week. I only lost 25lbs in 8 months. I started out 165 and I am trying to get back down to between 130-135 without gaining the weight back. My Doctor stated most people gain it back when they stop. I am determined to figure out how to not gain the weight back. My cousin stopped because the doctor told her she was losing to much weight. Her body continued to lose even after she stopped.

I believe it is possible to maintain after stopping tirzepatide, but it isn't easy. I had to stop for three months while sorting out insurance and supply chain problems. I had to stop cold turkey at 7.5 and the "food noise" and cravings gradually resumed so I had to keep very focused on the new habits I had established for a year+ with diet and exercise. I am T2D and had lost 70lbs with help from Moujaro and later Ozempic. After I stopped Ozempic suddenly, I gained and re-lost 5lbs several times but managed to remain stable in that range. It wasn't until I resumed Mounjaro (which I prefer to Ozempic) that I was able to make further progress toward my weight goal and break the plateau. I have about 13 more pounds to lose before I hit my healthy weight goal of 150 lbs (5'5") and can hopefully find a maintenance strategy that works for me.

Would love to know when studies emerge that address the longterm maintenance protocol for patients after ending Tirzepatide for weight loss. I suppose that will come after Zepbound hits the market, now that it's been approved.

I don't like this narrative that it's about lack of control I gained 15 lbs back in one week after stopping Mounjaro I know I didn't eat that much in a week there is something that happens where the weight comes back on like nutty professor it was not in my control everyday the scale went up

There is nothing we can do to prevent
I stopped for 3 weeks and I gained 22 pounds and not even eating that much

if you mounjaro current dose is working, should you still go up? Is it going to make it better so to speak? I hope I make sense. I'm on 5mg week 3. Can anybody give any advice?

Uhm I’m not stopping. I got my life back. I starved my self for years and worked out only to gain weight. Some Diabetics can’t loose weight that easy. But I still have to work out and eat right on the monjuro for it to work. At least monjuro actually helps. But the pharmacies have ran out of Monjuro for 2 months now. Got people who don’t need it wasting it and the company can’t keep up with the demand. It’s like $500 for one shot that last a week. Most of those that aren’t diabetic would be better off if they just eat right. Must be damn nice you monjuro hogs 😡

I don’t believe it. I think the hunger will come back and so will the weight.
