BPD - Lack of Self-Awareness

Показать описание
98% of the time, someone with BPD can live a normal, healthy life, including with those who are close to them. However, 2% of the time is when others can get badly hurt by their anger or lashing out.

When someone with BPD is triggered, they escalate rapidly, act out and project/ blame others for their problems. They feel like nothing is ever their fault and quickly accuse others for causing their feelings. They will rage and rant and engage in verbal abuse. Instead of projecting vulnerability or authenticity, they will blame.

I don't have BPD but do have diagnoses that make me prone to outbursts. It takes time, but if you can start tracking your triggers, letting your loved ones know what they are, and apologizing sincerely when you slip you will start to gain traction on this. I'm assuming you are in an environment where it would be safe for you have these conversations. I'm still a work in progress but feel like I've made some headway. Also, when it happens try to stop and search your feelings. It may help you to understand why it happens. ✌️💋💜

I’m so messed up. I’ve driven everyone away and I’m afraid to be around people anymore because I’ll probably do it again. I kept my mask on so well until the pandemic hit and I think the stress of it was too severe that my mask crumbled and I started acting erratic and now I’m isolated. My life has been changed forever

Who gets hurt? The FRIENDS! The family wants to stay in denial!

I do this although I'm more aware and talk myself down. How do you help yourself?

They don’t wanna notice when they are wrong?? Well sir your definitely wrong because I have bpd and I see and know when I’m wrong. It’s humiliating the way I am at times but I’m working on it. That takes a lot of time and work on my end. Don’t over generalize something you do not experience yourself. For these are just mere guesses and false information your giving people. Stigmatizing a disorder you do not go through yourself only brings us that to have it down and like we are awful evil people . And that I am not.. I love harder than anyone else I know actually.. blessing and a curse
