How To Do Warrior I Pose (Virabhadrasana 1) | YOGA POSE BREAKDOWN

Learn how to do Warrior 1 yoga pose (Virabhadrasana 1) for absolute beginners in this yoga pose tutorial! Warrior 1 is NOT an easy pose, especially for women, and I give you tips on how to do it correctly.
Warrior 1 pose is a yoga posture that is super common in SO many vinyasa flows but is actually really hard to do. This is partly because women's hips are wider and more mobile than men's hips, making it difficult to square them (face them forward) while in this asana. To help make this posture possible for you if you're a total yoga beginner, try these tips:
✔️widen your stance to at least hip-width apart
✔️bend the front knee a little less, if needed
✔️if you can, bend the front knee to a 90-degree angle so that your knee is directly above your ankle
✔️turn your back foot to a 45-degree angle, if you can
✔️if needed, you can slightly come up onto the ball of your back foot to make this posture more accessible to you
✔️open your arms to a cactus position to help take the pressure off of your shoulders
✔️you can leave your hands on your hips for balance if needed
