Camping out one night with buddies in Eastern Arkansas in the 70s, we were awakened by the same howls and growls, absolutely terrified, the powers that be say they don't inhabit that part of the country, I beg to differ.

I was sleeping in a hammock wth my buddy on a camping trip in Utah. We started hearing this sound in the darkness around midnight. I will never do a trip like that again without some kind of protection

While me and my family were going to my grandmas house on our car we heard loud screams and when we heard the scream me and my family immediately drove back home praying that the thing that screamed doesn't follow us and when I look back in our car I see a mountain lion or a couger following us, then a few month's later my family forgot about that day. It still hounts me In my dreams til this day

Here I am listening to this obviously angry and very dangerous cat growl and yell, and then without warning, the audio switches to my left headphone and I jump about two inches out of my seat and do a 180, accidentally ripping the headphone jack out of the computer with my hands up to defend myself against absolutely nothing but an imagined big cat- whilst the growling starts emitting from my laptop speakers. It took me a full 5 seconds to realize what actually happened, Lol.

My nerves aside, that was the biggest real jump scare I've had in ages!

I must say, I heard this weird noise one time late at night!! It sounded like.a high pitch woman screaming for her life! I had idea it was a mountain lion. I'm sure glad I didn't go investigate!! 🐆🐅

We have one that's been on our farm for I don't know how long. My uncle seen it hunting about 10 years ago and we still find fresh tracks. To my knowledge there's been one living there since the land was bought in 1858. It's probably a different one everytime. But no one's ever found a courage body in the area and it never comes to the house. We don't go I to it's bit and it stays away from us. You can occasionally hear it at night. We also have a black bear that migrates through every year with her cubs.

Some will tell you there's no big cats in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. I'd loved to have had some of those fools with me on anyone of three occasions in my home County of Ashe on the New River where I live and see what I've seen and heard. Then hear what they, the know nothing experts would've had to say afterwards!
