Seeing this short made me revisit a news story from 2018. Two mountain bikers were being followed by a mountain lion, they got off their bikes and waved and yelled until it seemed to give up and leave. At one point on of them tried using their bike to swing at the mountain lion. They thought it was gone and got back on their bikes, and PSYCH!! The lion attacked one of them, biting the guy's head and shaking him. His friend saw this and tired to run away, this caused the lion to drop the first guy and pounce on the guy that started to run. Lion killed the second guy. I think the key is not turning your back, which is the same rule if you work in a psychiatric facility. In India there was a tiger that started hunting humans, after a while they got smart and everyone started wearing masks on the back of their heads to make it look like that was the front of their head, this stopped the attacks. I think big cats just don't want to attack us unless we turn our back.
