Michael Keaton absolutely delivered 😂 especially the musical number at the end of the movie. Just such a fun ride. If you have to see it, see it for his performance

Saw it tonight and I loved it! Not without its faults but it was so fucking FUN and felt like a real breath of fresh air from Burton.

Keaton aging only makes the character better. Also, Burton has so much more experience directing than he did directing the original. Looks like a blast!

Caught a critic screening yesterday. I got to say, this might be Tim Burton's most entertaining film in over a decade - guess Wednesday really did give him a second creative wind after all.

I'm very glad you liked the movie. Tim Burton is my favorite director of all time. I had great doubts about the future of his career after Dumbo and Miss Peregrine, films that were terribly bad. Fortunately, Wednesday restored my faith in this director. I can't wait to see this new movie on Friday. As for the first Beetlejuice, I'm a huge fan. This movie is always top watch for my Halloween home marathon!

I grew up loving the original so of course I had to check this one out but I really wasn't expecting much at all. In fact I had really low expectations but holy shit this was actually pretty damn good. I was genuinely surprised with how damn funny it is. Catherine O'Hara and Keaton steal the movie for sure

Excellent measured review! I think that both beetlejuice and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice are immensely enjoyable films. I definitely think BB is more of a crowd pleaser and less slow paced than the first, but the first was unexpected and forever set Burtons fun with Gothic themes tone.

My 50 year old mum and 75 year old grandad are both big fans of the film and I'm a younger person who still really liked the original so I'm looking forward to watching it with them both!! I'm really glad to hear this film is just as good as the original cos i want my mum and grandad to enjoy their rare trip to the cinema 😂

We had a blast watching tonight! I laughed so hard during a scene that I cried. I had deep, deep belly laughs that made my toes curl. As someone who is unmedicated ADHD, it was perfect for me to be all over the place!
I'd give it an A- 8/10

I'm writing that i just want to know how Beetlejuice's head was blown up back to normal size after his head was shrunken really small at the end of the first Beetlejuice. film. that's the one thing everybody's wanted to know is exactly how does Beetlejuice's head get blown back up again unless there's a special room in the afterlife that has a device that can blow his head back up to normal size again

Just watched the original for the first time ever and actually really liked it, so I’m excited to check this one out

Thank you for pronouncing "Winona" correctly. Charts with Dan was making me cringe. This looks great! We're planning on going to it next week.

With the green neon lighting I feel like you're recording your reviews in Joel Schumacher's Gotham City 😜 and that is NOT a bad thing!

"A lot of first time watches" on your Burton ranking? OOOH! I wish I could be the fly on the wall when you were watching those. The only one that was a first time watch for me was Pee Wee

I’m off to see this movie in about an hour, and I’m hoping it’s one of Tim Burton’s better films. I wouldn’t say any of Burton’s movies are particularly fantastic, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t made several solid, interesting movies of different genres over the last forty years. And looking at the box office projections for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, I’m hoping it’s financially successful enough to revive Tim Burton’s career.

I am seeing this movie tomorrow after a second viewing of the original with my dad the first ever viewing being with my mom a few days back on Labor Day when she was off work and I must say, I believe the movie was a really fun zany experience with some really dark humor thrown in.

A few of my favorite lines from Beetlejuice being “Nice f’ing model!” and he kicks the model afterwards and also, “I’ve seen The Exorcist 167 times and it keeps getting funnier every time!!!!”

Many other classic one liners from Keaton’s Beetlejuice but those were 2 of the funniest to me at least upon first viewing

The first two thirds of the movie felt like it was like a lifetime movie, at a snail's pace. And the stuff with Jenna Ortega honestly felt like a young adult novel. But I really liked the 3rd act, it was great.
