Beetlejuice was never a family film, idk what on earth indicated that? He’s pervy and cursing throughout the first film. Beetlejuice is not a character to admire, he’s a villain.

I think a lot of people seem to forget just how adult the first film was. It’s not really a movie for children, yet everyone talks about it like it is. The idea that this movie is still fairly adult makes sense when you actively pay attention to the original.

If the first movie is from Lydia’s perspective it made sense that her stepmom would be a caricature but in middle age she has learned to relate to Delia as a woman and especially as a mother with a less than cooperative child. I am so excited to see this shit.

Sounds like a great movie. Not all questions need to be answered in a movie - there's that fine line where it becomes "preachy". Also, I wouldn't worry too much about how the mythical "modern audience" will respond to the jokes and humor. Most real people still know how to laugh.

I think people are mixing up the cartoon and the movie. The movie Barbara and Adam are the good guys Beetlejuice is the bad guy. The cartoon is Lydia's adventures with Beetlejuice.

Grace Giallo Films aren’t “Italian horror movies” they might have horror elements but the true definition and essence of them is murder mystery and/or detective storytelling. As an Italian that definition hit a soft spot 😂
