Michael Keaton hasn't played Beetlejuice in 36 years and the moment he came back, he didn't miss a single beat, it felt like it was just yesterday that he played Beetlejuice for the first time. So happy to see him in great shape playing this role 🤗

“So after a family tragedy” AKA the Grandfather is no longer allowed within 500 feet of the house. (Iykyk)

By title alone, we're definitely getting a third movie in 36 years

It’s so dope we’re finally in a time where film studios are learning to balance practical and CGI effects.

Took forever to get here. Alien Romulus also had great practical effects.

Danny Devito is in this movie. The third time he and Michael Keaton is in the same movie after Dumbo (2019) and Batman Returns.

Big thanks to Tim Burton and the cast they didn't mess it up

I absolutely loved that this was basically Delia's redemption arc, without taking away her core obnoxious Yuppie personality. You _know_ something is clearly wrong, when you're agreeing with Delia's take/advice 😂

First we have Top Gun Maverick, then Twisters, and now Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. It seems like the 2020s are the decade of the legacy sequel.

You'd be surprised that Michael Keaton only had 17 minutes of screentime in the original, despite being the titular character. It's sad that Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin's characters didn't feature, not even for a quick cameo.

Jenna Ortega was a huge reason Burton's "Wednesday" turned out as a good as it did and I can't wait for a second season. Glad we're getting this in the meantime. And I will never be not excited to see Winona Ryder in something. She is such a sweety and with "Stranger Things" she really nailed that Badass Mom role once before.

I knew this one going to be good by the way that Michael Keaton was gushing about it. Michael Keaton doesn't gush about his own movies, not even Batman. If you watch him in most interviews he typically wants to talk about anything but the movie he's promoting. He directed a movie this year and did hardly any promotion for it. He has been so excited about this movie I knew it would be good.

I’m happy this is the first review I’ve watched for this movie because Chris’s stance on people’s perceptions of legacy sequels relative to their age and love of the original was refreshing and something I agree with

Beetlejuice is my 10 year old daughter's favorite movie. We have had Beetlejuice themed birthday parties for her. She has easily watched the original 40 times. We'll be seeing the sequel this weekend

I’m generally surprised how good this movie turned out to be. is it as great as the original, not quite but is it a worthy sequel? It sure is. This is the redemption that Tim Burton needed after his work for me hasn’t been hitting for me like it used to. Talk about a massive triumph.

I'm so glad Tim Burton is still directing

An interview with Michael keaton I watched had him say “I told Tim the only way I’ll do it is if I’m only in the movie about the same as the first”. So much respect for that
Edit: in the same interview he also told Tim he wants little to no cgi

It's Showtime! Jenna Ortega is absolutely sublime casting as Winona Ryder's daughter, I was thrilled when I saw the initial trailer. I'm glad that it's getting decent reviews.

The sequel everyone wanted but no one thought we were blessed (or cursed) enough to get 😎

Beetlejuice(1988) was an homage to Throne Smith's work. A house haunted by the living.

The shot of the house draped in black curtains made me think, ok let em cook.
