I love when Doug reviews average cars!!!

When I see an adult driving an Accord, I’ve learned to see it as a sign of success. Most people I know who drive Accords are higher net-worth than the ones driving Porsches and Mercedes.

Nice to see Honda is still making the Accord. It’s a highly competent, efficient, good looking, sedan. Thank you Honda!

I'm a salesperson at honda and after so many happy customers, had to get my own accord, I love it! It's comfy and smooth over bumps and the gas mileage is amazing. Can't complain at all. I got my 2023 accord in radiant red with a black interior. It's a sweet ride

These regular/average car reviews are so much more exciting to click on because I can actual afford this car and want to buy this. Like I was genuinely more engaged watching this over some of your other cars. Thank you for doing these boring cars!

Doug, I can speak for some of us (your viewers) when I say that we appreciate your reviews and perspectives on "boring" cars. If you're not going to be the one to cover these types of cars in the future then ideally someone on your team does.

One thing I appreciate on this generation of Hondas is that they've kept controls simple. They haven't replaced physical buttons with captive touch systems or done things like made the climate control something that is run through a touch screen. The new Hondas can be learned in seconds by just about anyone which is not something you can say about many of today's overtly complex cars.

Yesterday I managed to average 52.9mpg on mine, its crazy. IMO this is a way better purchase than a prius because of the comfort & tons of space both inside & in the giant trunk.

The accord is simply one of the most humble cars out there. Nobody raves about them by any means but it’s simply a great car for the value for the price of average new cars nowadays. I had a 2014 (9th gen) that was a 4 door stick shift and I miss that car dearly.

I have a 2023 Accord Hybrid touring trim and I absolutely love it. I love the way this new generation looks from the outside, I much prefer the simple mature look. The ride in the Hybrid is so smooth and super quiet, plus I'm only going to the gas station once a month. Also fyi; you can customize the gauge cluster to either a round setup or a bar setup.

The Honda Accord holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first car I’ve ever driven. Glad to see the newest iteration being reviewed here.

The Accord came out in 1976 and immediately became a hit because of the value proposition. All the things that were typically options on American windows, tinted glass, tachometer, console, etc....were standard on the Accord hatchback. I ordered one at about $4300 as I recall, in the days when dealers did not add "market adjustments" on high-demand cars. After a couple of months, I got tired of waiting and bought a used 1973 Porsche 911T for $6800 instead. I eventually got my Honda's, first one being a 1981 Civic Wagon, then a 1986 Civic Si, then a 1988 Accord 4 door sedan. All great cars.

I love the Accord. My family also switched to SUVs/CUVs sadly, but the Accord was the only sedan in consideration - every time. It's such a great bench mark. I see myself retiring with one when I don't need the extra room. Honda - don't give up on this great car!

I've owned 86, 91, 96, 2002 Accords and loved them all. My 02 was written off after a crash at 220K from new with basically original parts. Been rocking a 2003 TL-S for the last 8 years without complaints either. Love Honda.

I love my 23 Accord. It's my first car and I bought it with my own money. The sports mode is mostly just a transmission setting that keeps the rpms up. I think it's a bit fun to drive fast since I think the handling is better than you would expect.

I just bought a '23 Hybrid Touring. I love it. Savagegeese called it an "AI-designed sedan" and yeah I can pretty much agree with it. That's the thing, I wanted my daily to be as practical, efficient, reliable as could be. While there's nothing crazy about it, it's so painfully competent I have a hard time complaining about the lack of flair, there is nothing that upsets me at any time about the vehicle, it just works, and it does it well. Sound system is nice, seats are comfy, mileage is great, hybrid powertrain has more than enough oomph in traffic, steering is relatively heavy and has feedback, infotainment is essentially flawless. Digital gauges are cool, configurable but not insane, I get maps in the gauges and a head up display that works well. Maybe my only complaint is that the wireless charger is a bit finicky as far as positioning goes, but it still works, just have to watch to make sure it doesn't move off the pad. Could use a larger barrier.

Also, I've gotten several nods from Dads in their Accords, so that's a perk of dubious but amusing value

The brake lights in the instrument cluster are so nice I wish every car had that. It may not be useful to many people, but I'm kinda self conscious about brake lights especially with ACC or regen lighting them up automatically. Being such a simple feature I can't imagine it would need any significant development either

7:00 I think one of the quirks you could have mentioned is the size of the rear badge. Almost every manufacturer seems to be going bigger and bigger with their badges (or spelling out their name), but this accords badge is so small! I really like smaller rear design on this accord

I love my accord. Last year 8th gen, top trim, and it’s perfect. Good sound system, super comfortable with plenty of leather, tons of space, and with a little apple car play replacement and a backup camera it’s basically the perfect car for me. Not to mention the styling was great and has shared super well

I know that lots of people don't like the new Accord but I personally think it is absolutely beautiful and looks so good!
