I found up to 60mg for sleep is good, helps u get to sleep but not stay asleep. Vit B1 kept me asleep thru the night and now don’t need melatonin. I went as high as as 1.8g/day hoping to fix autoimmune issues but was sleepy throughout the day. Only side affect was sleepy for first week on 60mg a day due to sleep debt, then no other side effects. It has been studied up to 7g/day for menopause

My ONLY question is should I CYCLE melatonin? If I take it 365 days out of the year will my body stop making or reduce the amount of melatonin I make? I have listened to DOZENS of podcasts on melatonin and nobody has addressed this question.
