But God is not a passive observer, like someone watching a replay of a football game. He omnisciently created the football game and every play, rule, and decision that occurs within the game - otherwise he wouldn’t be an omniscient creator.

Once in a debate with an atheist I explained it like this.
He said: You believe God set everything into motion, meaning he determined every beginning variable that would result in you. This includes your mind. So the “nature” of your mind was not your controlling. The “nurture” wasn’t either, as these circumstances were also entirely out of my control.


To which I replied:

I would explain it as: I believe God set everything into a possibility of different motions one can choose, he just knows what motion this will be turned into ahead of one's decision.

prophecy, free will, and omniscience is incompatible. god does not exist, therefore, we have free will :P
