The real issue is Nintendo not making old games available, that's basically abandonware. New games are accessible and it's not a good look trying to pirate them.

It’s also impossible to legally play most older Nintendo games

As a fellow pirate, I don’t justify why I pirate games and movies. Im not pirating cuz they are big studios and hav shit ton of money. I do because I hav no money and I wanna enjoy those too. So as Captain Jack said, Take what u can, give nothing back.

(P.S - Just pirated a Spider-man game from fitgirl too lol)

If buying isn't owning, then pirating isn't stealing

"You wouldnt steal someones car" correct but if i could clone it and have an exact copy of it while the other person still has their car absolutely.

We don't own the game.
They overcharge the game.
What are they expecting

Just don't get caught by Nintendo or you'll never be seen again

Piracy isn't theft, it's copyright infringement.

If they don't want me to pirate then maybe they should put their older games on modern consoles

I dont think that buying games is noble but its the only thing that stops me from downloading tenth of games and then never finishing them😭

Also the fact that many of Nintendo’s older games (especially Pokémon) don’t have an easily accessible way to play them nowadays, other than investing in an old console

It doesn’t matter if there a multi billion dollar company it doesn’t matter
You’ll get the same sentence if you steal ten dollars from a homeless person or Elon musk

I'm kind of in the middle; I don't really believe in pirating games like that either, but perspective matters.

I like playing PS2 games, but a lot of them I can't play on an actual PlayStation console and my current PS2 isn't working right now — I don't really feel like getting on right now either, but maybe in the future I will. If I can create an ISO for a game I want to play, I'll just make it so I can avoid virus issues, but I do pirate some games because the PS2 is so old that getting games for it is a fucking nightmare. Either you can't find someone who has the game in a playable condition (as in the disk can still be read) or you find someone who has the game in a playable condition but it's expensive to get. I have a decent catalog of games I can make ISOs from so I'm mostly good, but there are some games I want to play that I don't have so I have to get the ISO from somewhere else. I also got the bios from somewhere else too as I couldn't really get it from my own system.

Considering that the PlayStation 2 is so old of a system and Sony isn't like Nintendo and doesn't care about the copyrights of PlayStation 2 that much (because the system is old and a lot of people aren't playing it like thar anymore), it's valid to do something like that for the PlayStation 2 and any system that is older.

As a Christian, I'm gonna tell to you this, avoid pirating, but if you do decide to pirate, try to find another way first — pirating should be your last resort, not your first option.

In my case, I'm playing games on an older system, getting those games physically on a disk is very hard and sometimes even impossible to get because the games need to be in a playable state and those games can be expensive to get, however I digress, stealing is still stealing and you should try to avoid it if you can. I used to pirate stuff a lot more when I was younger, and I regret doing. It's morally wrong, but it's also dangerous for those who aren't that tech-savvy (I wasn't that tech-savvy when I was younger and I learnt the hard way). Nowadays, I just buy things if I want it or find the an open-source alternative of it.

This applies to games as well — except for PS2 games, if I can't find a suitable DVD at a reasonable price or someone who has the game, I'll just get the ISO online, Sony doesn't care. So while I will say that it is wrong, I understand what the Nintendo Fans are going through.
