No matter the price, it's the best sandwich I've ever had

As a teenager I was fortunate enough to work four years while in high school for New York style delicatessen. It was owned by a man in his mis-60's who had spent his whole life as a deli man. His headliner specialty were sandwiches. No short cuts with this guy and I can say I've had the best. I learned lots because everything was homemade.
These pastrami sandwiches look great. If I am ever in the neighborhood, I'll be sure to check this place out.

Have eating @ Katz since I was a kid now I’m 72 yrs old . Sandwiches are the best. Can’t take your money to the grave. Enjoy life

The "hype" is understated. Best pastrami ever. Many are too salty, Katz is perfect

I'm a New Yorker go to 2nd Ave Deli & Sarges Delicatessen they are very good but KATZ is the winner they have thick cuts while the others are more thinly sliced

Done Katz's many times, NYC my home turf. Double parking ticket, ouch.

I haven't been there in many years since moving out of the city. It's the original hype store to go to. It's well worth it. pastrami all the way.

Worth only a one time try, yes. Very, tinder meat. They use to pile on the meat. Not so much these days, yet, prices still go up.
