Low fat food and diets have become extremely popular because people think fat makes them fat and that fats and oils are bad. There is a HUGE difference between healthy dietary fats and unhealthy ultra-processed fats prevalent in most modern food, which yes, can and do make you fat and unhealthy. But it may come as a shock to many that healthy fats and oils can actually make you LOSE weight. Eating healthy fats does not lead to weight gain, belly fat, heart disease, high cholesterol, inflammation etc. In fact it does the opposite and helps HEAL those conditions. So one type of fat kills while the other heals. Knowing the difference is the difference between life and death. if you don't want gallstones or having your gallbladder removed, or dealing with diabetes and heart disease, high blood pressure, inflammation, gout, thyroid and liver conditions and all other manner of disease, watch this video. We NEED healthy fats for hormones, brain function and fat soluble vitamins to absorb. But people are afraid to eat healthy fats and oils because they think it will make them fat. In fact the opposite is usually the case! How is this possible? High fat foods like nuts, seeds, avocados, coconut oil and olive oil are high calorie foods! Here's where the wonder of foods from nature comes into play as compared to unhealthy refined fats and oils used in almost all packaged foods and restaurants. If you're tired of being overweight, tired and inflammation, then switch your unhealthy fats and oils for healthy ones and watch what happens! You may be outright shocked by the results! Bad fats can make you fat and cause belly fat and inflammation, but healthy fats can reverse many conditions and even help with weight loss. Examples of healthy vegan plant based fats are avocados, coconuts, olive oil, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds, durian fruit, olives, algae, purslane and sea buckthorn which contain high levels of omega 3 plus 6,7,9 EFA oils. Peanut butter is wonderfully healthy and eating it will not necessarily cause weight gain. We need healthy fats for proper brain function and nervous system development, creating hormones like testosterone which creates muscle and burns fat, and healthy fats are needed for the body to absorb and utilize fat soluble vitamins. Fats and oils do not make you fat if you eat the right ones and eat them responsibly. Enjoy this video!

Saturated fats are good. Prof Brian Peskin said that the arterial sclerotic buildup found inside the organs of autopsy samples was all polyunsaturated fats... i.e. NO saturated fats were found... if this is true... the implications are mind boggling...

REGARDING FATS: Ok then, Markus. Please redo your "What I Eat in a Day" video. Please cover at least 3 days. Don't worry about filming your daily ROUTINE. Just the meal TIME, and show us what you ate. Include your smoothies. PLEASE !!!

I think the biggest problem with trying to be and stay healthy is the massive amounts of contradictory information out there and of course, all the cheap processed foods that are readily available. Markus and his partner are certainly good examples of what healthy eating and exercise can do but for many it's too confusing, time consuming (food prep) and often too expensive for the average person. I eat algae for DHA and EPA omega 3, flax, chia, hemp seeds, and walnut for the ALA nearly every day. A lot of your brain and the retina are made of DHA as well. Thanks for having diet so refined and sublime Markus

Healthy fats keep you full—I’m very active and struggle to eat enough calories. I eat nuts, avocados, avocado/olive/coconut oil. They also keep you looking young. Also my biometrics improved dramatically including my weight which at 18% body fat and BMI under 20, I’m pretty lean. Also I don’t drink alcohol, coffee, or any beverage with sugar.

When I was higher carb, I was sluggish forgetful and always hungry. Not to mention inflamed and my skin didn’t look as good as it does now.

This is anecdotal, but I’ve noticed my body LOVES and uses the protein in nuts/seeds much better than beans. My fingernails grow faster when I’m on a nut/seed butter kick. Also, when I cut out all fats, I gain weight or struggle to keep my weight down. When I’m freaking drinking EVOO, my metabolism increases.

Hey Markus and Cara! I just want to say that I've been seeing both of you pop up in my algorithm for years now. I'm currently on a juice cleanse (day 18), so I've been binge watching your videos, and I have really grown to love y'all! I'm from Memphis, TN, and I work as an Oncology Certified Registered Nurse. Needless to say, this is a tough specialty within my nursing profession, and it takes its toll on me at times. However, I'm reading your book Heal Yourself 101, and I can't tear away from it. I've read numerous peer reviewed medical journals with articles and studies that are considered the gold standard when it comes to research, and I'm not taking merit or validity from any of them. However, this book is the best information (common sense and easy to follow) from a holistic wellness perspective I've read in a while. This book is now part of my library. Thanks so much, Markus and Cara! I still can't believe all this information is free. It's so crazy, it's so much information, I just feel like studying this book alone if one had no other resources could save someone's life.

Nevertheless, we should be careful with oils, because most oils are not really cold-pressed and then the oils are stored incorrectly in the shops and go rancid.

It is best to consume fat when it is still bound in natural foods, where it becomes less rancid or not rancid at all and cannot harm us.

Unfortunately, with natural foods, most of them only contain 20% of the trace elements that they did 50 to 100 years ago and we can no longer eat enough.

Then there is the fact that the soil is very depleted today and can hardly pass on any nutrients to the plants. The plants are then sprayed with pecizite.

Today we have so many environmental toxins that we need more micronutrients than ever before and then natural food only contains 20% of these substances. Without supplements it will no longer be possible to eat a sufficiently healthy diet. But supplements can never be as good as nature.

Unfortunately, farmers are told how to grow crops and we should put an end to that.

The governments and the big companies that actually control a lot of things, and not so much the governments, are causing a lot of damage to the environment.

We should finally stand up and stand up for our interests, we should prohibit governments and others from destroying the soil and food.

Today we pay a lot of money for bad food that is actually just fillers. Then we pay a lot of money for supplements and in the end we get sick and pay a lot more for medicine.

You need sick people to make money from them and most people pretend to be willing victims.

You can change a little on your own, but we can only change the big things together.

But the so-called governments are not allowed to govern, they are only elected as representatives by the respective people and the people are the sovereign and should decide. Unfortunately, hardly any people show that they are the sovereign and therefore people are mistreated.

Please let us put an end to this together in the interests of all of us and ensure changes that are good for us.

so if we've had our gallbladder removed, I understand the liver is still making bile BUT is it harder for the body to use the healthy fats or assimilate those fat soluble vitamins then? What should those of us without a gallbladder be doing to make sure we don't have bigger problems down the road? I'm 48 and want to make sure I'm around a long time to enjoy this life/world! thank you so much!
