Ever since college when I got sick with Crohn's and determined that my self worth is a function of my productivity and accomplishments, I’ve been trying to do more in less time. While you shouldn’t take on that idea of self worth, which is something I’ve been unraveling and correcting for the past few years, you can certainly learn from my productivity tactics. Stay tuned.

You are the best channel for productivity videos - I am not a med student or even a student. I am just getting so many aha moments from things you are saying! Thank you!

This guy is incredible. I hope more genuine physicians like this will gain a following and fewer of the frat boy thirst trap doctors.

For all those wondering and cant wait for Grandpa J to respond, he's wearing a SNDD87 on a NATO :) Could you do a video on how to invest as a broke med student/premed? I know you have a video on investing strategy but a strategic breakdown of where/how you spend your finances would be awesome. For example --> I spend 10% of my monthly income on luxury expenses (such as watches, etc). Just a suggestion, thanks!

HELL YEAH for emphasizing that life is more than productivity! Glad you're taking things a bit more flexibly!

The biggest takeaway from this, which is something I strive to do each day as well, is to use break time and/or downtime to get something done. Cycling to campus or using a break to get groceries is great because when you actually want to chill out and relax at the end of the day, you've accomplished your non-academic goals for the day and you can actually rest. Super helpful tips, loved this one! (from Dr. Paul)

You are amazing. I have literally implemented every strategy that you had mentioned into my studying and daily activities. Taking tests and exams in med school are such a joy right now. Thank you a lot for sharing this on YouTube. Best of luck to you!!

The best part of the video for me was the last bit about being okay with not following the schedule- we are human, not robots. Sometimes, forcing ourselves to grind and work hard will lead of burnout later on, which infinitely affect productivity so much more than taking it a little easy throughout and taking day offs once in a while. We all have different capacities and if taking a break once a week is important for you, don't sacrifice it for the sake of being more productive

Dr. Jubbal, I just want to say thank you for sharing and allowing us to adopt and apply your knowledge. Your videos are so hopeful for someone trying to become a surgeon that is the first generation in their family. I can't thank you enough for being a great mentor.

Great tips. My favorite tip was how you had planned out every 30 minutes for the next 6 weeks when you were in college. That's some hardcore commitment right there. Time management used to be my greatest flaw, but these videos and online learning really makes it a lot easier.

Thank you for inspiring us, Dr. Jubbal! This is pure gold. I am a premed student, and your videos have helped me greatly.

Thank you for this Kevin! Im a med student with a YouTube channel, as well as working part-time AND doing a weekly commute between two cities to spend time with my girlfriend. Really needed to hear that this kind of livestyle isn't sustainable as I was starting to doubt myself - like "I should be able to do this, why am I feeling burned out".

Excellent message - the fact that personal goals are not necessarily steadfast is often overlooked
