Youtube needs to stop posting c4 corvette videos before everyone catches on and the price goes up 😂

Gotta be some kind of drug dealer to be able to score a corvette of any generation for only 800 dollars or some real desperate sellers...these results are not typical

Congrats on your C4. I was looking for a Vette 3 years ago, never really considered a C4, but I found a 1990 ZR-1 close to me. It had been sitting for several years. It had 74k miles on her and I gave 5k bucks for her. Some maintenance and it's running great. It's a cool car and a blast to drive.

It is videos like this that lead people to buy cheap C4s with unrealistic expectations and then end up with a ton of expensive repairs. Prices are not at an all time low for C4s anymore. They have been on the rise for the past few years. All C4s were fuel injected. You got a great deal for $800, but $1k is not common at all for half decent running C4s. Maintenance adds up: dashboard lenses, tires, driver side seat bolster, Optispark on the later LT1s, super brittle plastic dash after all these years, weather striping, etc. If you look at hundreds of C4s nationwide the going rate for most C4s that are in very good shape with 50k-75k miles and full records is about $10-$12k.

I used to hate them then I started to like the look a lot the last few years. I bought a real nice one and sold it cause it was an automatic. Now have a 92 6 speed it is a great car. I don’t think there’s a better all around fun/reliable/cool/affordable car out there.

I’m the type of person you wouldn’t expect to see in a c4 but it’s good to be different

Love C4s. I had a 88 L98 C4, now have a 92 LT1 C4. Great bang for your buck.

Bought a 89 in Nov and blew the head gasket in december, did my first top end rebuild myself and complete restoration at 18 in march (no more brown valve covers and spotted tune port, looks brand new), had my b day turned 19 y/o. Few weeks after the trans went out lmao.... Regardless I still love the car... I wanted a c5, sat in a c4 and fell in love with the digital dash, still wanted the c5, but I'm currently looking at c3s. Someones gotta stop my love for corvettes RN.

Just got a c4 garage kept it’s entire life. Exterior has no swirls and seats are mint with only 55k original miles for 5, 000 because the people were moving out of there house. Love the c4!

These C4 were the big game changer! When it came it in '83 as the 84 Vette it was the big buzz in the automotive industry! It set records in performance! It gave American cars a new image because it did what previous vettes couldn't do and that's handle! It had the proper aerodynamics and tuners were setting records and rewriting records! Then the C5 came out and then the C6 and so on! Every year was a better Vette so much so everyone forgot about the Vette that was the big breakthrough Vette! Not Me! As a matter of fact I have a 92 C4 and like it better than my '99 C5!

Have myself a '93 and love it. I grew up as a teen when they came out and always wanted one. Finally my dream came true

I purchased my 86 C4 for 1500 bucks. After tires a radiator, cap rotor and fuel pressure regulator valve vacuum lines and a few touch ups I can definitely say I got my money's worth

I have owned a white 1976 Corvette for nearly 35 years. It has a few modifications, including a not quite stock engine (still a carbureted old school small block) but it is completely stock appearing inside and out. I have owned a lot of cars, including some pretty fast cars. But none of them have given me the enjoyment my '76 Corvette has. Whether driving it or just looking at it. It's absolutely gorgeous, and after completely rebuilding it from top to bottom, it has been trouble free. There is a feeling you get while driving a '77 or earlier C3 Corvette that you won't get from any other car. It is an absolute blast just turning a corner in it, sitting just in front of the rear tire (where the back seat would be in most cars) and swinging that long hood and big swoopy fenders around a turn just never gets old. I had a 1997 C4 (I won't even call it a Corvette, it just doesn't look like a Corvette, it doesn't have the Corvette cachet, it doesn't turn heads like a C3, you don't feel like you are driving anything special. It would have made a good third generation Camaro) as a daily driver, but it was unreliable, and parts are expensive and hard to find. I wound up selling it and getting a second generation base model Camaro as a daily driver.

Your video brought back memories. The C4 you bought, I purchased THE EXACT SAME CAR back in 1987 brand new. Same color, and even the same optional glass roof. It was a great car then. Still is. A few Corvettes later, I now own a brand new C8 Corvette in the optional Red Mist Metallic paint. I love driving it just as much as my C4. I hope you have many summers of fun in the car, don't let the little issues bother you. It's a few decades old, but as you point out in your video, one of the rare cars that has stood the test of time. By the way, if you ever visit the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky, YOUR CAR, I mean OUR CAR is on display there too, in the large peaked roof rotunda. Cheers from Canada!

I hope they go up in value cause I bought a 6 speed manual 92 c4 with 94k miles in good condition. Paid $5500 thought I got an amazing deal until I blew a headgasket 2 days later lol. It's just sitting in my driveway until I can afford the repairs.
