Check out THIS 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo NASCAR LIVE ON CARS & BIDS with NO RESERVE!

Join Zack Klapman, from The Smoking Tire, for a review of this extremely special, race used NASCAR, driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr. Hear this NASCAR come to life and why you should consider adding a historic NASCAR to your collection

WOW, this is one of the coolest race cars we've listed on Cars & Bids! It's a real NASCAR – it was built for the team run by Dale Earnhardt Jr. It's one of the last Gen 4 models, so it should be quicker than older NASCAR racers, and it touts a big V8 engine as well as a 4-speed manual transmission. The racing-specific equipment is accounted for – there's a quick-release steering wheel, a roll cage, and a fire suppression system. This Monte Carlo SS is also offered with no reserve, which should make this a VERY exciting auction as race cars rarely end up in private hands.

Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more exciting content!

Bless his heart. He tried to explain.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the intention of the flaps that open when start spin out and starts going backwards isn't to slow them down but rather prevent the car from going airborne when they lose all the forward downforce.

wow...this is like watching a kid in school present a book report in front of the class on a book he never read. i almost think this many mistakes were made on purpose to troll the NASCAR crowd.

It's incredible to a European how cheap NASCARs are.

He literally knows nothing about this car. Like 95% of what he says is wrong.

Didn’t know Charleston NC was the base for NASCAR, I thought it was Charlotte NC.

Considering how much these cars cost to build, it’s kind of amazing how cheap they sometimes sell for. I know they’re very, very limited use machines, but you’d think rich car collectors would clamor for these things.

This should've been done at either Daytona or Charlotte, er, Charleston, NC by Doug and/or Alanis, and Dale, Jr.

Imagine being the owner of this. Not only is it a part of NASCAR history, it is the ultimate NASCAR collectable.
"Oh, you have a 1:24 scale Dale, Jr diecast? How cute."

Yes, roof flaps don’t slow the car down, they are meant to keep it from going airborne

Sorry Zach, Should have let Alanis have this one.

About the flaps…. Yes they slow the cars down but more importantly prevent them from flipping over while sideways or backwards. By breaking up the airflow over the top of the car so aggressively, the Bernoulli principle is severely disrupted and this also mitigates the pressure differential between under the car and above the car, both decreases the cars chances of flipping.

2007 is the magic year for these cars. A friend of mine bought one of Ryan Newman's cars from 2007 as his first track car. Going to trackdays with him was like hearing the heavens unleash

The circle track racer in me cringes at the amount of misinformation in this video - there's a LOT, especially in the tech aspects - but that's an awful lot of info for someone unfamiliar with oval racing to digest in one day for what is ultimately a 20 minute video. It's not the end of the world, but for a review of this vehicle they really should have used somebody more familiar with this type of racing. Having a well-spoken NASCAR fan try to review a LeMans prototype would have produced similar results. Nothing against Zack, he just wasn't the right presenter for this.

When a video gets so many things wrong about a car I AM more familiar with, it makes me hesitate to trust what they say about a car I am NOT familiar with but was wanting to learn more. It would be appreciated if the content was controlled better so we're not steering people off in the wrong direction, regardless of whether it's a stock car or an exotic collectible.

I guess “research” isn’t an option before doing this video cmon Zach

I worked on these cars back in the day, it's a speedway car, we called them twisted sisters, body's are very twisted front to rear for aero reasons. There's a reason the passenger side of the car is flat & driver side has all the curves. During the pit stops, the rear tire changer would intentionally hit the right rear wheel well out to create suction 🪠

2:13 4 drivers x 4 types of tracks x two cars = 32 cars.

Conservator.
