I find you very inspirational Ben. My son who is 18 recently got diagnosed with Crohn’s and I know it’s something you’ve mentioned battling with in some of your Instagram posts. He’s trains very hard in the gym, but has recently experienced a flare up of his condition. Thankfully, not enough to warrant a hospital admission, but it’s controlled on medication. I told him about you, he took one look at your photos on insta and was really motivated and inspired, yet you’ve had it so much worse. Thank you for being you Ben! 👍🏼

I am sure that one week is not enough to tell if you are at maintenance or not only by looking in the mirror. Two weeks maybe, but not if you are a woman. Two weeks might work for men but I think mostly if you have a good amount of fat you are trying to get rid of. I would say that these assessment based on just looks should be made after one month. And I want to emphasize again that this is especially important for women - at least in my opinion. I see it on myself every month and I am talking from the perspective of someone who is running an experiment on themselves. I have 2-3 months since I am trying to find my maintenance and I am tracking both calories and kg (every day) and centimeters (once a month), as well as the appearance in the mirror. 1-2 weeks is definitely not enough to get an idea of this, unless you are not really overweight.

I am quite good (really) at tracking my calorie intake and how many I burn, but what I can't account for is what they call after burn. Also, if I use the sauna, it's hard to know how many calories that's burning too. I know I sweat like a leaky boiler in there and my heart beats fast so I can feel it, so there must be some increased rate of burning.
