Going to Prague in 2 weeks time. £32 return from Luton. 6:00 flight out and 21:45 flight back.

What helps is I've been to Prague a few times. However, I can see all of the key sites, have a decent lunch, and have a few decent pints.

My budget is £50 for the day (I can meet this easily)

We are off to Alicante tomorrow for 2 nights - the minimum you can do it for from Norwich airport. We've decided to stay in Alicante itself, and head out on the tram on Sunday for a trip along the coast, so might end up in Benidorm. We paid £50 each for flights, what a bargain, and we live 15 mins away from the airport. Your video is getting me in the mood!

My favourite extreme day trip was driving the full length of Vancouver Island to grab a burger and then drive home. 910km round trip. Sometimes it’s about the journey, not the destination. Looking forward to your Day 3 ❤

I think I would have just stayed in Alicante as you can still go to the beach and enjoy the sun there!

What I don't understand is why the obsession with going from Alicante to Benidorm!? Alicante town it is a short journey from the airport and it's a lovely place with great bars, restaurants, entertainment and a great little beach and promenade. I think this is where they missed the trick, they could've spent less, had more fun and less time pressure in a town that is many times nicer than Benidorm, and where they landed!

From all the 80 counties and 100s of bars I have been to the Western Saloon is the most memorable. I think we went 3 nights in a row there

Oh wow, I’m surprised you were still awake to do this after Iceland. Interesting to hear there is a group on Facebook for extreme day trips. Love the fish’s names😂 it always amazes me how you negotiate all the travel options to achieve your goals. What a beautiful view from the top over Benidorm. Nice try for saying you look very young for being over 55 for the mobility scooter. With the booze being so cheap you can understand why people go there partying. Drink and recover on the beach 😂 Benidorm certainly seems to cover a a wide age range of social experiences. 😅 Stroke of luck, delayed flight. I did an extreme day trip myself to Switzerland thanks to EasyJet, flying into Zurich and then flying back to Manchester from Basel. Managed to see two amazing Swiss cities and enjoy a nice train ride between them as a bonus for around the same price as getting a train to Plymouth or Aberdeen and back. Given I only ever spent money on public transport and the supermarkets (Migros and Coop), I think I broke the record for cheapest trip to Switzerland for a non-Schengen traveller. Maybe I can cut it even cheaper flying to Geneva and back.

PS: I genuinely think it would've been more sensible, both time-wise and money-wise, to visit Alicante city itself rather than go all the way to the British tourist bubble that is Benidorm. You went all that way, you might as well have spent your time in a more authentic Spanish city. I'll have to try this myself once I refresh my GCSE Spanish.

I've done this day trip. I know you visited Benidorm but really Alicante has a nice beach and a lovely castle to visit so you could easily spend the day in Alicante. I didn't bother going to Benidorm.
