If you are focused on just hypertrophy, you can choose either the Nordic Curl or the Machine Curl. Both perform the same function of knee flexion. No need to do both of them.

Bonus: lean forward during the seated hamstring curl. Doing this will not only stretch your hamstrings greater wile under load, something proven to be great for muscle growth, but it will also keep you from arching your back and reducing the load of the hamstrings, or injuring your back.

I’ve been getting frustrated with seated curls lately, feeling I engage my calves more than my hams, I was told to flex the hamstring during the whole motion and it’s helping a bit but I need to figure it out :(

The slow tempo with those seated leg curls will really have your hamstrings burning. And the hold at the end of the curl will tap you out

With the seated hamstring curl machine it always causes me a pain in my inner thigh rather than discomfort idk why and it feels like my calves work more than my hamstrings

Question, during the stiff leg deadlift should you feel a bufn in your hamstrings? Because when I do it I don’t feel it burn, only feel the stretch.

You don’t “need” to add these exercises. They are good choices, but you can also train hamstrings in other ways.
