It blows my mind that there’s people out there that think JP is some sort of villain.

“If you can even get 1% better each day for one year, you’ll end up thirty-seven times better by the time you’re done. Conversely, if you get 1% worse each day for one year, you’ll decline nearly down to zero. What starts as a small win or a minor setback accumulates into something much more.”

Nearly 40 and still don't know to which port I would like to sail, so I just survive the rough seas the best I can, never advancing anywhere.

And if I have not fully achieved a true “manhood” and independence, and my parents are separated and will never talk again, its falls upon me to gauge myself and be my own parent. I think, especially with my extra-comparative Western mindset, if I must compare myself to someone, then it ought to be my yesterday’s self. Truly profound wisdom there, thank you Doc.

Dr. Peterson,
I am loathed to be among those who desire that you abbreviate your wisdom, and conform to those modern mores which cater the those who cannot commit the time needed to your insights, but please, give us more of these brief videos!
I am a busy man, with children and a considerable docket of work and community involvement on my plate and simply don’t have the time to view videos that are an hour or more in length on a consistent basis, but I love your insights and would appreciate more of them on a more absorbable basis.
Best, and thank you for your significant contributions to humanity. You give me hope. Keep going!

I grew up with a single mother, who was an alcoholic and benzodiazepin addict. Listening to this makes me think about how great things could have been growing up with someone who actually cared.

I once dated a woman who had a dog named Buck. This woman was always telling Buck what to do and how to do it. When I finally ended our relationship, she couldn’t understand why I was doing so. I told her that she needed a man like Buck and that I wasn’t Buck
