Eating fruit helped me get off processed sugar 20 years ago. I eat as much as I want and feel amazing.

To me, it makes sense to have fruit in moderation. A few berries here, maybe an apple there. Not sure we should load up on fruit, especially if you’re not extremely active. High protein, low carb is probably the best diet by default. But honestly, if most Americans simply stopped eating fried foods, they would be enormously healthier! Then stop eating refined sugar. Just those two changes could cut obesity rates significantly. Then we could argue about what’s optimal.

Great discussion. Animal based diet with Fruit and honey is definitely the best I've ever felt, and I did keto and then Carnivore for years before I incorporated fruit and honey.

I feel better physically, but probably more importantly I feel better mentally. I would be in a down mood almost all the time when I was strictly carnivore. Adding fruit and honey was like the best antidepressant in the world compared to how I felt on a strictly carnivore diet. I'm guessing because I wasn't producing enough serotonin without the natural carbs from fruit and honey.

Paul, I really appreciate your content and honesty. I believe that there are a lot more people with food addiction issues than you may be aware. Look at how many people are obese or overweight in the U.S. - all food addicts in my opinion. Some of those people do really well with carnivore.

Best diet ever, for over two years with meat, eggs, cheese, yogurt, fruit, coffee, cocoa, sometimes even wheat and white rice and I have never felt so good and my intestines have completely recovered.
