The epicness of a Mandolorian and a Jedi combined is too much for the galaxy to handle!

Tarre Vizsla was not an adult Mandalorian with armor who became a Jedi. He was taken as a child into the order like a normal Jedi, he just happened to be from Mandalore. This is how Filoni explained it in the audio commentary of the episode.

With the revelations about the dark saber, I'm getting a real Uther Pendragon vibe from Pre Vizla, and an Arther vibe from Sabine. She even has two space wizards!!

Stole it back? I don't think the Jedi ever stole the lightsaber.

I bet we'll get a Mandalorian based show that takes place between Episodes 5 and 6 sometime after Rebels.

I noticed the line in the episode the first Mandalorian "inducted" into the Jedi Order.
I don't think this necessarily mean he is the first, Mandalorian Jedi, just the first one that became part of the Jedi Order.

Considering that even Jango Fett himself wasn't actually Mandalorian...He was just a bounty hunter from the Concord Dawn system who adopted the Mandalorian culture. It really just sort of made more sense in legends.

I love the fact that the darksaber is something similar to Narsil/Anduril, the sword of the King of Gondor and Arnor from LOTR. This lightsaber is basically almost like a family/royal heirloom.

here's a game: take a shot whenever he says Mandalorian

I don't understand how a two armed man can't use 2 double lightsabers but a four armed one can. can you explain that?

I believe his name is spelled Tarre Vizsla. At least that's what I'm finding from my searches.

I honestly want a book, comic something all about Tarre Vizsla there's good story potential focus on him conflicted on the Jedi and Mandalorian codes and the events that lead him to become the leader of his people.

I always found it so strange, this story of Tarre Vizsla, since becoming a Jedi is against the Mandalorian ways and codes, and likewise the Mandalorian way of life is against the Jedi Code. They are two conflicting religions. One believes in honor gained through warfare and violence, and doesn't like the Jedi for using the Force as they see it as weakness (we see this spoken of a lot in KOTOR 1 & 2 by Canderous and other Mandalorians), whereas the Jedi are peacekeepers, are against war and use the Force. If anything Tarre would have had to convert and abandon his Mandalorian ways to be accepted by the Jedi.

Tarre Vizsla would/should be seen as a traitor, as "Dar'manda", he became the very thing they despised. I'd imagine Clan Vizsla would have been greatly dishonored by it, and if anything I think the attack and theft from the Jedi Temple was their way of regaining that honor and making up for what their forefather did to their family name, and the symbolism of the Darksaber perhaps was used to represent Mandalorian leadership as a mockery of the Jedi, and to relabel it from it's "dishonorable" origin.

I theorise as well, is that maybe it's why Clan Vizsla in Clone Wars is so obsessed with the old ways and are so disgusted with Satine. They want to make up for what Tarre did, and with that mentalilty, were easily triggered by Satine's "pacifist Mandalore". So if they can make Mandalore old-school again, they would be able to make up for the slander upon their clan of what Tarre was responsible for.

You haven't covered much about Republic Commando, I'm so happy you talked about Bardan and Venku.
