Oh dear, you didn’t put them to sleep first before putting them in the boiling water?

Thank you for buying Maine lobster! Our lobster industry has been really devastated by the lockdown orders here, and we appreciate your support!

My mom was born and raised in Augusta, Maine. We ALWAYS put the lobsters to sleep in the freezer before cooking them.
That being said...we are planning a lobster dinner this summer. So yummy!

Born, raised, and lived in Northern Maine all my life, I've only ever eaten Maine lobsters. People always say they are the best. FYI: To avoid ever being injured by a live claw, we always leave the rubbers on the claws and snip them after they are cooked. It's also the way you would get them at a Lobster Pound on the coast of Maine. This was a great video. Stay well and have a great upcoming week.
After reading some of the harsh comments, I want to say that most everybody eats fish. Consider how they die with that sharp hook in their mouth and then left out of water until dead. Unless these people are vegans or vegetarians, I don't understand these harsh comments. Many animals are harvested or bred for human consumption. Just because they don't see the slaughter when they buy meat at the grocery store, doesn't mean it didn't happen. And I must add, Kim clearly entitled this video, so nobody should have been surprised or caught off-guard or offended. Everybody has the option to watch or not watch something they're not comfortable with, especially when they knew by the title what it was going to be about.

I'm from Quebec, Canada and my family had lobster party every year. We use to put them to sleep before we boiled them.

Stand the lobster on it's head with the claws towards the back and rub the tail. They relax and don't splash their tails around.
Lobster croissant sandwich are quite good.

Excellent! I live in New England and we cook lobstahs and steamahs at home often during the summer. It's not for everyone, but to us that love seafood, KUDOS!

YES, I HAVE. I USED TO BUY A BOSTON LOBSTER BAKE ALL PREPARED UNCOOKED. ALL I HAD TO DO WAS ADD WATER & WAIT FOR THEM TO STEAM 15 MIN. THE LOCATION SHUT DOWN YEARS AGO BUT THEY WERE DELISH!! :)

So you eat the green stuff? I’ve had lobster a couple of times and haven’t known if I should eat that part.

Save all the odds and ends (shells, head, etc), make it into seafood broth. Great starter for chowder.

I love lobster!! I helped cook on in my high school home ec class, (we got the directions from my mom who is from Nova Scotia). Before ordering them before your family comes, compare the costs to them going to a fish market in their area and bringing the clams and lobsters on the plane and the costs of ordering them online.

My parents are from Maine and now live in Alabama. Every summer they order live Maine lobster and cook it for us. This past year I introduced my fiance to the experience of cooking and then eating a whole lobster. It was fun to watch to say the least!

I've never cooked fresh lobster. When I was in the AF Reserves the pilots had a trip to Maine and decided to grab a bunch of Maine lobsters. We had a fantastic dinner cruising on Lake Erie. Thanks for dredging up a HAPPY memory. Lol

That is very interesting. Not a seafood person. However I would love to know if anyone reads Doesn't that stress the lobster "shipping alive" and wouldn't that change the flavor of the meat.? Also, what was the purpose of cutting the bands off? Hugs and Prayers ya'll
