During my studies, I learned about food technology and how food is delivered from “farm to fork”, putting the focus on providing safe and wholesome food. After college, I pursued a career in nutrition product development, creating healthy food, beverages, and children’s products for people around the world.

And now, I enjoy developing recipes in my home test kitchen and love nothing more than experimenting and unraveling the science behind better, healthier cooking and sharing that with you.

Hmm! I think I want to try the boiled artichoke just because it's so much more green! I enjoy boiled cabbage, I wonder if it's similar?

I cut mine in half. Then scoop out the choke. Next boil to tender. Finally drizzle oil on face and throw it on grill to give it a smoky flavor.

I quarter mine and cut out the choke and I keep the stems on
Then I bake them in the oven with olive oil and salt, covered with foil, 425°F, for about 20 minutes and a few mins without the foil to get a little more color on them

I would like to try to steam one and see how I feel but I don’t think it can compare to the flavors I get from the oven n olive oil

I love artichokes! And watching the way you cook them looks so much easier than the way I do it! I'm going to try your way. Thanks for the help 👏💯

I've always boiled them. But I don't add that much water. Probably just enough to cover half and then halfway through cooking I rotate them. Then I let it rest in the water for about an extra 10-15 minutes

First, how do you best clean and trim an artichoke?

Good video but how do we open up and eat them?
They are always so hard to deal with

The steamed one looks greener. I wonder the difference in taste.

What if you don't have a steamer?

something tells my old brain that a petroleum product (call it steamer pad or whatever-else u fancy) will probably release carcinogens under heat. Why this beautiful gal cannot figure this out is besides me!

I’d fry it with bacon then discard the artichoke 😂
