Baby Seal Rescued From Fishing Line

This baby seal was not happy with us netting him. We understand, but unfortunately, there’s no better way. The thin fishing line was around his mouth and kept his face pulled to one side. No animal should have to go through such an experience. After his release, the seal felt immediate relief and was in no rush to go back to the ocean.

My opinion? He was very upset at being netted. When he got out of the net, he was STILL upset. Until he realized, "I can move normally! The constriction is gone! These creatures took it off of me!" One of the very few seals who seemed to understand and appreciate the help you gave. WE all appreciate you, team OCN, every single day! Thank you for all you do!!
