Baby Seal Rescued From Fishing Line

Our OCN crew spotted a seal pup tangled in a recreational fishing line. To prevent the seal from panicking and fleeing into the ocean, the team had to maintain a careful distance before successfully capturing the pup, cutting away the line, and setting it free. Recreational fishing lines are a major cause of seal entanglements, often leading to difficulty in eating, severe injuries, and even death.
