Baby Seal Saved From Fishing Line

Hundreds, if not thousands of animals are chased into the water by the rescue team. We have no other choice if we want to help a little seal pup with a bundle of fishing line around his neck.
The line is tight, it would have caused severe discomfort, if not pain. The loops restrict the animal's breathing long before they cut into the animal's flesh. Seals catch fish to survive. If they cannot fill their lungs with sufficient air to dive for food, they will starve. For an entangled animal, it's a painful death race between starvation, suffocation and infection. Without intervention, there is no other possible outcome. It is the only reason why we feel it is justified to disturb so many wild animals - we simply cannot stand by while this tragedy unfolds. 🦭
