Baby Seal Rescued From Fishing Line

Another day, another seal pup with a loop of fishing line and a rusty hook around his neck. He is at a critical age because he will go through a big growth spurt soon, and the entanglement would not have any stretch and soon cut into him. We will find many more seal pups like this over the next few weeks and months. We try to patrol the beaches as often as possible to make sure we find entangled seals early, but with well over one million Cape Fur Seals in Namibia, we do not know how many animals we might be missing. 🦭
