Tiny Baby Seal Rescued from Fishing Line Cut
Показать описание
A tiny piece of very thin fishing line found its way around a tiny baby seal's neck and caused a very deep and painful cut into its skin. The seal is so small that the rescuers can grab him by the hind flipper without needing the rescue net.
The already stressed out seal is breathing heavily. He is vulnerable because of his injury, and he does not understand that the rescuers are here to help, especially because they have to touch and move the entanglement from the wound. The rescuers act fast and efficient and the seal can be released back into the ocean within a few seconds to start the healing process.
Fishing line like this is invisible underwater, it is designed to catch fish, seals are collateral damage, even when the piece of fishing line is seemingly small and insignificant in the bigger picture. 🦭
