Why do you keep mentioning GDP as a metric? GDP consists of stuff irrelevant to a war like tourism stock markets etc. you can’t find a war with shares but with shells. So even if a county has way smaller GDP than another if it has the resources for shells and waepons in general will always have the upper hand
