Avoiding a draft isn't cowardice. Having others die for your benefit is. Life isn't a game. You don't get to respawn.

Putin asks Shoigu, “Are we winning the war?”. Shoigu answers, “It’s not that bad, we are on the second place”.

There's one way: hide in the wilderness. Russia can be seriously duckin' empty

At least Finland lets us skip military if we have mental/physical handicaps, allergies, autism, dual citizenship or being a citizen of the Åland Archipelago

There are a LOT of Russians in South East Asia right now. They're fleeing to places like Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, etc.

Have a couple friends that have dual Russian and American citizenship (born in Russia, raised almost entirely in the U.S.), and neither of them have visited ever since the war began to avoid getting drafted despite their family usually visiting relatives once every year or so.

You know it's getting tough when people aren't sure if it's better to join the Russian army or enter Russian prison.

Unless homosexuality is a crime in Russia, an old draft dodging standby, at least in the US during Nam, was to say that you were 100% gay.

Long story short. I married a Russian woman in 2018. Her ex had custody of her son. Her ex abused him she went back in just before Russia invaded Ukraine. We did all paperwork and got him into Kazakhstan 5 months before he turned 18 and into the United States on Christmas eve 2022. I lost a child in 2015 and I'll be danm if i was gonna hear about my wife losing her child.

Draft doging was acctually really popular with the coscripts even before the war - the most popular is finding a medical condition that's not compatable with army (like I have). One of other very popular is dramatize your mental health condition (a diagnosed teen depression would come very handy in this one)
