The greatest detail to this show is that each character fabricates their own lie, leave out important truths and ultimately tell their own story with their own bias. It’s brilliant because in the show no one knows who is lying but we do, so it’s like watching a lie snowball but everyone is participating in adding to the snowball.

Widespread beef consumption in East Asia is a recent (historically speaking) trend. Cattle was more valuable as draught animals than meat.

It’s human default to be lactose intolerant in adulthood. The only reason some people can digest lactose now is because of mutation with Europeans. They didn’t get enough vitamin D- less sun in their area. So a helpful mutation popped up.

Actually the way asians prepaired milk products in certain ways historically especially fermentation process that they used helped refuce enzimes that couse lactose intolerance. So they didint necessarily need this gene as much as peoples who used different proceses. Especially in norther asia people tend to be more tolerant to lactose. While warmer regions where preserving milk products was complicated it wasn't used ss much.

That was a great series. Great cast. I loved it, it is getting better as the ‘rage’ revels its true purpose in the end. It’s deep. 5 stars.

While not all Asians are lactose intolerant, there’s a higher percentage of those that are compared to Europeans.

Normally, humans lose the ability to produce lactase, the enzyme to break down lactose, shortly after they stop being breastfed.
But because Europeans, especially those further north, had to live through harsh winters, they had to evolve a mutation that allowed them to drink the milk the cows produced, since it’s very high in fat and thus, a perfect food to get through harsh winters when there is not enough food to go around.
The weather in Asia just doesn’t get as cold, so no need to use the milk, so not a large percentage have the mutation.
Example: Koreans drinking milk is something that developed within the last 100 years or so, probably even less (don’t know the exact date) when their president visited Europe and saw school kids drinking milk in school. He then implemented the same system in schools. Before that, drinking milk was not that common.
So the woman was right, it just wasn’t part of their ancestors diet.

Indians are not. I'm from Haryana, a state in India and if you tell them you're lactose intolerant, they'll look at you like you've brought dishonour to their family 😂😂 Milk and Haryana is like Texas and Guns.

Not all Asian's are lactose intolerant . Countries in central Asial consum a lot of milk and even have special dessert made out of it. Horse, cow milk e.t because our ancestors were nomads. Sooo
