This One Reason Why a Vegan Influencer Lost Her Life #veganism Following a raw vegan diet can be an appealing choice for those seeking a plant-based and natural approach to nutrition. It emphasizes the consumption of unprocessed, uncooked plant foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and sprouted grains. While this diet can offer numerous health benefits, it's essential to recognize that there are potential drawbacks, particularly concerning malnutrition. One of the main concerns with a raw vegan diet is the risk of nutrient deficiencies. Unlike omnivorous diets that include animal products, raw veganism excludes all animal-derived foods and any cooked items. As a result, certain essential nutrients may be challenging to obtain solely from plant sources. Vital nutrients like vitamin B12, iron, calcium, and omega-3 fatty acids are more readily available in animal products, and without proper planning, deficiencies may occur. Vitamin B12, for instance, is primarily found in animal products, and a deficiency can lead to anemia, fatigue, and nerve damage. While some raw vegan enthusiasts rely on fortified foods or supplements, not everyone may be aware of these options or be consistent in their use. Iron is another critical nutrient that may be less bioavailable in plant-based foods, leading to iron-deficiency anemia if not consumed in adequate amounts. Although plant-based sources of iron do exist, the body typically absorbs them less efficiently than iron from animal products. #RawVeganDiet #NutritionConcerns #BalancedEating #VeganHealth #PlantBasedNutrition #NutrientDeficiencies #MalnutritionRisks #HealthyEating #VeggieLife #VitaminB12 #IronDeficiency #CalciumSources #Omega3FattyAcids #DiverseFoodChoices #HealthAwareness #NutritionEducation #VeganLiving #PlantPowered #BalancedDiet #DietitianGuidance #RawVeganism #NutrientIntake #VeganLifestyle #NutritionalBalance #doctor #medicine #healthcare #interesting #fyp #fypシ #medicineexplained

That poor girl was using veganism as a front for her eating disorder. You can have a balanced vegan diet. RIP

She apparently she used to be a dancer and that’s what started her ED. It went from anorexia to orthorexia which its very common for people with ED to just go from one type to another without actually curing the underline problem causing the distress

I appreciate that he recognizes that it’s not the veganism that was the problem, but the eating disorder at hand

She had an eating disorder, coupled with a mental disorder. Veganism is not to blame for her demise. She needed mental help. 🌺🌺🌺

Her eyebrow hair falling out is a bad sign…. My eyebrows fall out when I’m very anemic

orthorexia is something that needs to be talked about more, it’s definitely a serious eating disorder that needs to be treated and made aware, this woman probably wasn’t consciously aware that this is a disorder since it would mostly be labeled as extreme dieting

The annoying thing is seeing how many people are blaming veganism as a whole on some poor girl's eating disorder. Like bro 99.99% of people with eating disorders aren't vegan.

One of the pitfalls of any influencer, is feeling a need to maintain the persona created, even when it No longer provides a benefit to the creator. It's a massive pressure to serve the community they create, and a fear of rejection if they change tactic. Like any form of fame, it's not good for everyone, no matter how much they want it.

I remember seeing her video of what she ate in a day and it was hard to watch. Everyone was telling her it wasnt okay. This is so upsetting, I wish she could have gotten help :(

Saw youtubers experience eating only fruits and it would actually make them go crazy.

Yes, there was an imbalance of a lot of things in her life. Obviously mentally, but one article mentions “She also claimed that her body did not ‘require’ water, writing last year that her fruit-based diet meant she had gone without water for the past six years.” That alone is insane. Her mom said she had an infection that got worse with her diet (mostly fruit, which is healthy in itself but not the best during an infection; sugar, even in its natural form, can make a sickness worse). There are lots of experienced raw vegans into their senior years who are thriving, ones who are not trying to follow a trend but giving their bodies what they need, eating a wide variety of nourishing whole foods, and are mentally and spiritually at peace; just happy people. This story is unfortunately very sad.

I've been vegan for a decade and I've been gaining weight after a few years of losing weight. I feel the best ever

Omgosh. I met a lady like this online. She only ate fruits exclusively. She also told me it's a sign of good health if a woman's period stops, and she was even proud her period stopped 😵‍💫 She also said she doesn't trust doctors 😵‍💫

“Extreme” being the key word 😊 a balance vegan diet never killed no body.

A vegan diet never ended anyone’s life. Mental health does this.

To add to the story, she has had a heavy disease back in the day, and that is the reason for her obsession with healthiness. She has also had some type of ulcer. Her stomach was ruptured by the gastric acid (I'm not sure if it's the right term, sorry) in the end😢
Her friends tried to take her to the hospital, but she was strictly against modern medicine and only agreed to visit a vegan rehab, but she was banned from the flight there since she was trying to get a durian fruit on board (she was only eating durians and seed sprouts during her last days)

This is not Veganism. This is a serious (and tragically lethal) eating disorder. I’m vegan 10+ years now and a track runner. This poor woman desperately needed help.

Please stop blaming veganism in the title. She had an eating disorder, this just further stigmatizes plant based diets.

This is why it’s absolutely terrifying that there are parents who allow young kids to access social media and idolize / listen and strive to be like so many “influencers”. Social media has absolutely ruined our society
