The narcissists I have had to be around tone down their nonsense when I completely ignore them. When they cannot get a reaction out of us they do change their tactic to the "sweet cycle." When they learn there will be no reaction to their evil they will stay in the sweet cycle for a long time. However, be ready to ignore them again when they think they have sucked you back in. I know from experience that they stay in the sweet cycle a long time when they are completely ignored enough times. The sweet cycle is not real kindness but at least its not the "mean cycle", the sweet cycle is preferable to the nasty "mean cycle."

Yes, after three years, I suddenly heard from my brother. He's so apologetic for his past behavior and asking me what I might need. I didn't fall for it this time. The last time I talked to him I was crying and in despair begging him to help me with our mother and he coldly informed me he was too busy at work. This was after numerous times of him refusing to help with her. The relationship was over at that point because I knew then who he really was. Why would I think he's actually changed? No thanks.

One thing I use to throw off the shark. I would like to share with my fellow narc survivors. When ever asked how are you doing be a person.

Especially a stranger.

Man I've watched a lot of your videos going back all the way to 2007 or 2009. Please keep up the awesome work. For some this may be the only type of counseling they get. Was with someone who was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder back then and your videos helped tremendously. About 9 months ago I was discarded by someone with covert narcissism and went through counseling for that. If you might do a video on the covert narcissist i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for all the hard work you put into these.

I also had a friend that I thought I was close to and then she got real distant, oh well probably should not have shared so much with her, live and learn. Some people are all nice in the beginning and fool us, not so much any more listening to you

If anyone wants a discussion about narcs during the virus epidemic, please comment. Celebs weeping from their homes without reason, fear mongering, prepping, hoarding, lack of empathy etc.
i don't have the answers but there is a calmness to understanding peoples motives. There was a comment here about narcs hoovering(are they fearing lockdowns and low supply?), in my experience the ex is trying to say she has the virus but I would expect that with her munchausen's tendencies. A web she throws out to see which fish bite the bait.
Tips are welcome too.
Chlorine works as a cleaning agent killing the virus on work surfaces, mix 70% vodka or vape base with aloe vera and you have an effective hand sanitizer for the family. Monopropylene glycol is the ingrediant, alcohol kills this virus by evapourating it.. Simple solutions help too.
