If I have to translate it to English I would say "Pour mate" instead of "Serve mate". The word we use in Argentina is "Cebar mate" which is only used with mate and not other beverages. In English I would say "I pour mate"

I'm Argentinian and I don't share the mate. Never ever. For obvious reasons. I have my own private mate and I drink alone. Only the teenagers share it with their friends. Or parents with their children.
