Once you negotiate on price, no other considerations matter. Only price.

I was a photographer. I charged more than anyone around. My talent and experience not withstanding. It's what I gave them in the package that sealed the deal. There were literally no options I left out and they could select just about anything they wanted and it was included. My clients liked that they would get the very best photography with no additional expenses after the fact. And I had a great profit margin and paid my employees way above the market. So I had a waiting list of well qualified people.

You know i have actually had a high price in mind for a service and when they gave me a lower number i was willing to pay i thought oh i can afford that. So this really makes sense to me as an approach from the other side.

Anyone else price anchor here?

In our web design and marketing proposals, an offer a good, better, best package pricing. But we display the largest package pricing first. We bring tons of value in each package but it naturally makes our first two packages easier to say yes too. And sometimes they still go for the largest package.

I used this tactic for when I was having my house appraised. Every time the appraiser would ask me "What price I was looking for?" I'd turn back to him, & say I don't really know. With a respectful voice I'd say I'm not sure what the market value is for it, but your the professional. If you can give me the best price that you can without discrediting yourself in front of the other appraisers of greatly appreciate it. I was given the highest appraisal than my wife expected we'd get. About 23% more lol.

…so it sounds like it might be a good idea to refrain from publicly posting prices for services!

What if they put the ball back in your court and ask “Why would I move forward with you/ why would I do this then?”

Is this before or after you establish the value.

This literally makes no sense and is extremely manipulative and dishonest. How in the hell would he know how much the client has paid for in the past? He doesn't know them!

Don’t take sales calls if they refuse to tell you the price up front.

If you negotiate on price, they’ll feel like you were trying to rip them of in the first place.

People that really push trying to change the price lower, are not people you want to do business with anyway.

Who needs it more between the negotiators.

This is what marks people as stupid. Know what you want. Ask for that and the price. If theres an upsell let them sell it. But letting a bidder avoid base level pricing is asking to get fleeced

If you pay someone money for advice, because they’re an expert at tricking idiots to pay them money… ask yourself who the mark is.

If someone can't tell me a straight price, clearly, the first time I ask, then I will walk away and not look back. I don't care how good you are. Stop wasting my time.

If you told me it’s really expensive then I would say ok I don’t buy expensive and walk away then wait for you to ring me.

Scamming 101.

I manage a fleet-- wierdly the guys that try this kind of bullshit are also the ones most likely to mess up your vehicle. If you cant compete on price for the same service, you are preying on fools and you deserve to go under.

Bro is used to negotiating with people who have tens of millions equity, if not outright liquid assets. Try this approach on a poor or even middle class person, especially in today’s economy and they’re gonna tell you to get f*cked 😅😂

This is why I don't do buisness with anyone who won't give me numbers when I ask
