I went in for my yearly physical & found out I was in stage 3 kidney failure & that I have about 15 years left. I had NO IDEA!!! They retested me after a month of drinking lots of water and no longer taking Excedrin Migraine. My numbers went down and I was out of kidney failure by one point. It's been another year and I'm about to get them tested again. Wish me luck! 🍀

I started getting the symptoms you describe years ago. I TOLD my doctor about them and he blew it off. I gained a lot of weight, then lost 60 pounds in a month without trying. The doctor said “tell me how you did this. I need to lose weight, too!”. While he was on vacation, his replacement told me I had diabetes. The regular doctor NEVER tested my blood sugar! I’m stage 3 CKD now. The “old” doctor retired before I found out. I C went to a nephrologist and now HE is blowing it off like I have nothing to worry about. They all failed me. Even if someone listens now and tells me what I need to do to live a few years longer, it’s too late. Start keeping an eye on yourself young, don’t think doctors know what they’re doing for you, they don’t. Lay off salt and processed foods. Watch YouTube. You’ll get better information.

I found this video gave me more precious information than my doctor gives. In less time too. Thank God for this woman.

As a board certified nephrologist for the past 20 years I can attest this is a nice overview. Good job!

Thank you so much! I was told I had stage 3 kidney disease 3 years ago. I was never told about stage 1 or 2, so I was caught by surprise.
I was also diagnosed with diabetes the check up before this and I cried! I took metformin but after a year on it, was able to maintain healthy glucose levels with healthy eating. My last test that checked my kidneys, showed normal numbers! Thanks be to God.

I had kidney problems. When I urinated, there was foam rising out of the top of the toilet. I suffered from fatigue and other things that I didn't recognize as a kidney problem. Soon thereafter, I went paleo, then keto, then carnivore. Apparently I reversed all the problems by kicking out carbs, grains, seed oils, starches, bread, and all that crap... in favor of meats, saturated fats, supplements, etc. I feel like I dodged a bullet... PLUS I lost 73 pounds in the process and I wasn't even trying to lose weight, but obviously needed to do that too. The whole process has taken about 5 years so far. Happy!

I had a liver transplant, 10 hr. Surgery causing injuries to my kidneys. I was stage 3, but the last 3 months fallen to stage 4. I pray it gets better. I'm so tired. When I walk I fell like I've run 10 miles, very shaky, and weak. I was a miracle as I died during my surgery, then coma a month, but overcame all. I learn to walk, swallow, write my name, all but stepping up stairs. Still a challenge. But my kidneys are my problem now. I traded 1 thing for anouther. High BP, high pittassium, many drugs, side effects. So life is a journey, enjoy each day your given.

My dear uncle died after a few miserable years on dialysis waiting for a transplant. It was heart breaking to see what he went through. He felt awful after dialysis and couldn't live without it. He said the machine took too many minerals and didn't compare to having a natural kidney. Glad to learn how to take care of our kidneys now. Thank you doctor. Happy to support your wonderful work.

I have been in Stage 3 Kidney Disease for many years. Renal failure runs in my Dad's side of the family. The first of this year my legs and ankles swelled so bad the fluid leaked thru 4 pair of socks a day. The diligence of my docs PA helped bring it down, but my blood pressure also almost bottomed out. Quest is the Lab at my Kidney docs office. Everything she has said here is true and very helpful. I don't want to go on Dialysis!!! A friend of mine told me yesterday, after many years on Dialysis she is now on the Kidney Transplant List. My Prayers for her❤️🙏🏼 God be with all of us suffering ❤️🙏🏼🇺🇸

This video is one of the best presentations I have ever seen in my 78 years on recognizing kidney disease. This should be shown to everyone who has developed or who is at risk for developing kidney disease. Excellent presentation. You are doing a wonderful public service!

I have been going to the doctor with a pain in my right side for over 2 years I explained to her that my skin and scalp was itching, my urinating was frequent at time and no do frequency at others, my blood pressure was always slightly elevated, I’m borderline diabetic, I have severe fluid build up in my legs every day, I have little to no energy and I’m severely anemic I asked to have my kidneys checked but she wouldn’t listen kept asking me about my reproductive organs, having children, heavy periods and then offered me a hysterectomy I was finally put on a low dose blood pressure mediation a few months ago and last week my bp was still elevated and I was having chest pain now they are talking about getting my kidneys checked when I asked over 2 years ago I’m 43 years old and I’m afraid my kidneys may be failing 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾this video was more helpful to me than all the time, money and energy it took going back and forth to the doctor

This has been so informative. It’s very sad that I’m just seeing it. I have stage 3B chronic kidney disease no one could figure out why I was losing weight 65 pounds down now blood pressure still up. I’ve changed my diet I exercise and yet I still have CKD. The lowest my GFR has been is 33 it fluctuates, but never takes me out of stage three yall be careful listen to your body everything she said was happening to me and I’m a nurse and didn’t pick it up. Just thought I was tired, getting older, and really not paying attention to my own body, God bless you

I was diagnosed with end stage renal failure at 34. I was going to the gym 4 days a week and eating but losing weight. I had swollen feet. It was a podiatrist who diagnosed me. 22 years later with a transplant from a wonderful family.
