Part of the fun of a kidney stone is going to the emergency room and waiting 5 hours in excruciating pain including writhing on the floor and having the personnel get angry at you for doing that while they see people with colds before you get help. I'd like to thank the American hospitals everywhere who do that. Kudos. Great job.

You seem like such a sweet woman. Thank you for this. I have lupus and my kidneys seem to be affected. Very scary for someone only 32 but I know it can happen to anyone of any age. Hopefully I can get this under control.

I had a stone for a year before it was discovered this month when I finally got pain. I know now it was over a year in the making because I wet the bed twice a year ago but no one thought to check my kidney. Well after getting extreme pain in my right back side I went to the ER and they saw a 7mm stone. They also saw my creatinine levels up to 1.9 an after removing the stone 2 weeks ago my creatinine is now 1.67 and my EGFR level is 49… My questions are, now the surgery is fine and my stent is now removed, can I expect my creatinine’s level to go back down and my EGFR to go back up 🔝 to normal? If so, how long will it take approximately?

I ordered my medical records from my doctor to then read on paper that I have stage 2 Kidney Disease that I had never discussed with my primary doctor before. Therefore, I changed primary doctor and discussed with my new doctor the situation and what my medical records had stated and that I was worried about my Kidneys getting worse and that I wanted to know what I should do next to reverse any kidney damage. Moreover, she sent me to see a kidney specialist, and he stated that I definitely in fact have Kidney disease, and that it was stage 1 and not stage 2. I kept asking him are you sure I have stage 1 kidney disease, because my medical records states that I have stage 2 Kidney disease and he looked at me in the eyes and stated why would I tell u that. He then told me what the next to do to slow down the progression of the kidney disease. I then had a follow-up appointment the next day with my new primary doctor that sent me to see the specialist and she stated that I did not have kidney disease and said I don't know why he would tell you that, because you do not in fact have no kidney disease at all, and I'm looking st her so confused and upset asking her are you sure, because the Kidney specialist yesterday that you sent me to stated and assured me that I in fact have stage 1 kidney disease. She then looked me in my eyes and gaslighted me by saying I why would I say that and went on to say I don't know anyone who wants kidney disease. I then looked at her in shock, because I couldn't believe how she just looked at me and acted like I just want kidney disease when this is what doctors had told me and the pain and excessive urination that I have been going through...Man I don't know what to believe. smh
