One thing to note is that belief is not faith. By grace through faith we have salvation. Works bring glory to God and justification, not salvation. Justification shows other Christians evidence of your faith, but works are not required. Your heart should yearn to do good works for the Lord, though it is not a requirement.

Faith is like love, its a lot more about actions than feelings itself, so your love for God is proved true by your actions, so basically a real and genuine faith will naturally show good deeds. So Faith with works save, not by the works, but by the real faith. God bless 🙏

As a catholic, this is what we believe as well, but for a long time, i just think different words were used to describe the same thing🤣

Faith means believing in something. You’ve been taught incorrectly (not by much, just slightly) faith means the belief in something. Faith doesn’t mean “oh I believe that thing exists.” It basically means “oh I trust that thing to do what it claims it will do.” I’m no Bible scholar or Theologian, but I feel that that is why many Christians believe in salvation through faith alone. Because In order to believe in Jesus, you have to trust that what he said was true. And he said trust only in him. (He also said “he is the way, the truth, and the light…”)

Listen, I started following Jesus a couple weeks ago and I am already a completely different person simply by observing what He is like and not wanting to disappoint Him. I don't think anyone who really believes in Him can simply go on with their lives as before. His presence changes you.
