Are there “best times” to take berberine and apple cider vinegar?

Dr. Bikman discusses the optimal timing for taking berberine and apple cider vinegar, suggesting that these supplements should be taken just before, during, or right after eating, especially before meals that are high in carbohydrates. He emphasizes that these supplements are less necessary before meals consisting solely of protein and fat. Additionally, Dr. Bikman advocates for the inclusion of apple cider vinegar in general and stresses the importance of a diverse fatty acid profile in our diets, which often lacks short-chain fats found in fermented foods. These fats, despite being small molecules, have a significant metabolic impact.

I eat pickles and sauerkraut and vinegars with every meal. I’ve tested on myself all types of vinegars and AMLA in blood glucose levels. All of these will interrupt the blood glucose curve within minutes and bring the influence of sugars and carbs way down. I was a microbiology major in college so to this day I still serve as my own lab rat. Hahahaha, I now make my own Hypochlorous acid to control infections I get. HOCL is totally natural to the body it’s made by white and other cells in the body to control pathogens.

Dear Dr Bikman, could you make a video about food sensitivities and tests like IgG tests, do you think they are worth money? They are not cheap. It seems like they don´t have scientific proves of its effectiveness. What would you recommend to those who want to discover their food intolerances in order to minimize insulin resistance too?

Interesting. I am almost 100% carnivore BBE, however I do indulge 1 time a week in 50-60 grams of blueberries. I crush the blueberries and I lightly douse them with Apple Cider vinegar AND a small spoon of Allulose, RxSugar no less. I do this to ensure my pancreas beta cells are kept in the loop as far as processing exogenous carbs. If I get booted off of the Carnivore Island so be it. I also like to put some apple cider vinegar on my steak at times, it's just a unique flavor profile. But that's just me. Thank you Professor Bikman! I hope you and yours have a wonderful Veteran's Day weekend. God Bless

What do you think about the EGCG in green tea? Does it really increases insulin sensitivity, using less insulin to uptake more glucose?

Would it allow eating carbs, with these tricks with cider vinegar and berberine? Thanks for sharing

I have histamine intolerance so i can not use vinegar. It´s so so sad. I tried and then i can not sleep at night because I notice I have a strong reaction to histamine in my body. The same happens with tuna and kefir, such healthy food and such a problem for those with histamine intolerance.

I read that carnivore, metformin, and avc together could trigger diabetic ketoacidosis. Therefore, I have stopped the avc. Dr. Bikman thinks AVC is great, so I guess that he is not concerned about the above and I should go ahead and start taking AVC again?
