Love your videos. I try to do 50 squats a day(74 yr old) and it does make it easier to get up from the floor. Thank you for your detailed information and calm demeanor.

Thanks! Once I turned my toes out 20 degrees squats became easier, no pain. Great tip!

I'm starting with knees that are in decent shape. My challenge is overall weakness. I plan on using your program to slowly claw my way back to some semblance of fitness. I really enjoy your work! Thanks.

Thanks for your videos Eric and greetings from Australia (just subscribed). A help to me when I first attempted to squat, was having under my heels a piece of wood about 12 millimetres thick (half an inch). The more I practiced, the deeper and easier the squats became and soon the wood was no longer needed and I was able to squat flat footed as you do. Holding the squat for 30 seconds eases tension in my back.

Very good points. Last time I went camping I had to lean against my bumper or a tree to pee. Doing squats now and it's helping.

Thank you, Eric, this video about squats and the foot position has been helpful. Another question, should my knees be over my toes? I am finding my upper body is not as straight. What exercises or positioning can I do to straighten my trunk and upper body. I do not have low back pain or discomfort.

Neil in the comments below said he uses a little block of wood - 1/2" under his heels to go into the squat. Could you do a video on this, please? Otherwise, the exercise videos have been really great! Thanks again, over and over. Spreading the word about your channel!!💯👉☝

Hi Eric, I’m 63 and have arthritis in my knees. I was told by a physical therapist not to do squats or lunges. I’ve wanted to continue to do these because I want to get back to teaching dance to youngsters with special needs 💗. Is it okay for me to do these exercises, even with arthritis? Thanks so much for your videos. I’ve just discovered you!😃

Can the knees go past your toes when you squat? Thanks for all the great videos.

Don't forget, a couple billion people probably don't have a toilet to squat onto and must squat all the way down to take care of business every day. I personally have found squatting all the way and resting for a minute or two has been good for my knees.

What do you think of the Hindu squats? Safe?

How about the guideline of not letting your knees to not go further forward (vertically) than your toes during the squat? Does rotating your feet outward help that issue? Thanks for the great info for us old geezers! Travis
