How to factory reset a TL-WPA4220 TP-Link AV600 Powerline Wi-Fi Extender

A quick video on what button to press and for how long to reset a TL-WPA4220 powerline wifi extender to factory defaults. This would be helpful to do if you've forgotten the wifi password or admin password for the device.
Shows what the lights do when you hold the reset button and how to pair the device back up with an existing power line network or custom named power line community.

tl;dw: Hold down the reset button for 6 or more settings or until the "house" light goes out.

Thanks for this, just what I needed. I only had to click the button on my sender, holding it down for 2 did nothing. Looks the same but must be slightly different.

I've reset my extender sooo many times. I will try again later and try to re-connect it, the way you showed it. Both extenders are not working. They weird thing is, that my flat mate, bought an TP Link Extender himself and this one works. No clue what's wrong. For one year everything was fine and now it stopped. If your tip helps, I'm gonna cry :D

In this video is the smaller unit connected to your router? I guess I'm asking if you can pair these without the smaller unit being linked to the router, and can you plug the router in after? I'm struggling with a set where the larger unit does not flash to go into pairing mode when the pairing button is pressed. Bit stuck, so wondered if trying to pair before linking to router is worth trying.

My brother in law just gave me his as he hasn't used them for ages, i can't log into the web interface for powerline settings, he forgot the password he set for it, will this reset it back so the default username and password are both admin?

As soon as i plug erhernet cable in the extender starts flipping out, lights go off and flashing while the adapter stays solid 3 lights? Any help
