Lumbar Degenerative Disc Disease

Показать описание
Degenerative disc disease is one of the most common causes of low back and neck pain, but it's also one of the most misunderstood. Age-related changes in a spinal disc structure, such as small tears or dehydration, may ultimately lead to inflammation or irritation in the sparse nerve endings that lie in the outer ring of the disc. When nerves are affected, the disc may be a source of pain, tenderness, or muscle in the back, or shooting pain in an arm or leg.
