Lots of standing causing stiffness?

With degenerative disc disease and back arthritis- it can be common to experience pain and/or stiffness when standing for a while and exercise may be the last thing you want to do 😵‍💫

But- simple and supported movements with the kitchen counter can be extremely powerful for relief ✅

The important thing is to make sure they feel good to you ☝🏽

Each one of these movements may not feel perfect to you but choosing one to get started with can get you some relief so you can enjoy the holidays, friends/family, pets, whatever it may be! 😇

Dear heaven thank you I'm 75 and my rheumatoid arthritis is so bad that my quality of life is becoming terrible My back my knees my hands God bless you for showing me some exercises that I can do by holding on to the sink Thank you so very much❤❤

just got diagnosed. while waiting for physical therapy to start, doctors appts, imaging.... I'm being pro active. going to do these 2x a day. pain can get completely debilitating. thank you

I played Simon sez and did this in my sweet kitchen this morning, although you forgot to say Simon sez, i knew what you meant...😊 and, btw, thanks so much for these brilliant shorts that have helped me so much by using these little moments of time in between tasks! I was recently diagnosed with 4th lumbar vertebrae misalignment and was so despondent, feeling really down and in pain. You give me hope! You're remarkable...❤

Thank U so much! And when your muscles are so bad tonight, I discovered this hard plastic thing that looks like a hand oh my God just like shove it in each muscle and it really takes off the tension plus knowing these exercises I’m gonna feel better soon thank you so much

The entire weight of the body can shift to the lower back during a squat, placing too much stress on the lumbar spine, which can aggravate disc herniation or ddd according to my surgeon
