YouTube was slick. Remember when you could exit out of YouTube and still have the videos playing? Remember when *_that was FREE?_*

For me the main benefit is being able to listen to the videos while using other apps

I've put up with the ads and music interruptions for years, so it is nice to be able to listen to a full album w/o loud, overblown ads ruining the vibe.

I haven't touched my Netflix account in months, but I use YouTube every day. Maybe its time for a swap

Pro tip:
To skip ads on mobile, skip the video to the end and click the replay button, this automatically deletes the ads in the video

I remember the days when there were no ads on youtube...it's been downhill ever since google bought them

Don't forget that if you are a university student you can take advantage of the student discount. Although in the United States (Unsure if it applies anywhere else) this means you won't be able to make a student discounted family plan, which sucks... but hey, it is a discount so it is definitely something.

It's amazing how Youtube has conditioned the used to accept longer and more ads over time. It started obviously with no ads, then went to very short ads that you could click off after a few seconds...it was really no bother at this point. Now it's two sets of longer ads multiple times throughout even the shortest and dumbest videos. It's just horrible. The market needs to respond with a new app that doesn't make you choose between all these ads or paying premium per month.

I only want the play in the background part. Not for $15 though.

I think it’s only worth $4.99/month if it didn’t block adds

I love it. YouTube Music is included and it has a lot of the b side mixes I normally would go on SoundCloud for. It plays in the background, thanks for the your video ❤

I love this video! I have been reviewing YouTube Premium and overall, I like it! I feel like YouTube Premium and YouTube Music together and the ad-free option along with downloading the video to watch them offline are my favorite ones!

People don’t realize how much time spend on ads. They add up in the long term

In interest of saving time. Do you watch a lot of YouTube? Are the ads annoying? If YES to either question...then it’s worth it.

Yes Yes Yes!! I reviewed spotify and youtube for months before selecting Youtube and it's awesome. Youtube music just gets me. I turn on a mix and I'm in heaven. Highly recommend. It's worth every penny :)

Dave, Can I download music and transfer to a thumb drive or is this a copy write issue? This would be most important to me.

As fellow Critters, I can’t agree more. Watching their video without intrusive ads popping up every few minutes has been amazing.

I work in construction so for me being able to listen to music, podcast and news while my phone screen is off, in my pocket, when I'm working, that's perfect for me.

Thanks for this info. I really didn't know what the subscription was. I had been watching my church and other faith based programs, listening to music and hadn't even thought about it being fee based. When I saw there as a fee, after a year or so, I was going to drop it. Yes, I didn't check my cc to see that I was being charged. When I saw the fee I was going to drop and go to free. After listening your review, I'm keeping it. The music is great and no ads. Plus didn't know about the originals going to check those out too. We retired people have to make sure we're getting the most for the $ and this is a keeper. Hmmmm if only we had YOUTUBE in the 60's now that would have been awesome

Does the membership include any device I am signed into or is it per device?
