Cats are the most commonly reported rabid DOMESTIC animal. According to the CDC, in 2018, there were 241 cases of rabies among cats versus only 63 reported cases in dogs.

However, if you look at WILD animals too, they account for far more cases with 1,635 cases in bats, followed by 1,499 in raccoons (2018 Data, source: CDC).

One of my outdoors cats seems to have rabies, and is most likely infecting the other outdoor cats, im just 15 so i can't do much about it, but my parental figures and guardians refuse to do anything about it and just let it continue.

I've taken in stray cats, and I'm guessing that God is watching out for me because I'm taking care of his creatures. I run a cat sanctuary in my home, and I currently have 30 of them living here permanently. My primary focus are the cats that no shelter will even take because they are deemed on adoptable. I have cats in here with feline leukemia, feline aids and all sorts of illnesses and conditions. I have no regrets. I provide them with everything they need. I work two jobs to provide for them. They are my family.

Everyday when I walk to my bus stop, there's a stray cat always waiting for me. Usually he would run up to me and start meowing also flopping on it's back exposing his belly to me. Everytime I pet them though, they purr and start salivating but no foaming. They do not show any signs of aggression or symptoms from what I know. I'm not very sure though if he does or does not have rabies. Once you crouch down he runs to you for pets! :P

My cat attacked a bat and killed it and I don’t know what to do, is there’s any chance for rabies or nipah virus infection ( I am from south India and nipah virus spread here sometimes and some people have died from it. So what should I do??
