I really empathize with my fav queen. They got rid of her birth records so we don’t know her exact age, but she died at the age of 16 to 19. They use her oldest possible age to make the thing with the music teacher less... ew. To put it another way, her first time happened at AT FRICKIN’ 10!!! It was gross enough at 13, what with him being her teacher and 38, NOT 23 (Also something they did to cut down on the “ew” factor), but a 38 year old man with a likely prepubescent 10 year old, while also being in a direct position of authority over said 10 year old... It’s enough to make you vomit. Even in that time period, prepubescents were thought to be unable to give consent. Even after menarche, most waited until the hips finished developing, as childbirth was already risky, as the baby getting stuck because the hips were not wide enough was a real possibility for fully grown women, and even more likely to occur the younger the girl was. The fact that Katherine was beheaded for her being abused was victim blaming at its worst.

This perfectly conveyed how creepy scenarios like this are. She's SO young, and they look at her with what could be easily be mistaken as love from her perspective. Since she's so young it's even worse that the men are somewhat attractive, because what little girl wouldn't like their faces? Just so slimy feeling. Absolute perfection all the way around.
